Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at these Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro LED fog pod lights. Now, these three-inch LED fog pod lights are going to give you bright light with reduced glare for improved visibility and safety. These are gonna be a great upgrade to your current fog light setup on your vehicle if you're looking to upgrade your fog lights. As you can see, I have this one currently plugged in to my power source.

And what you currently see here is one of my favorite features of these lights, the amber backlight. So this backlight is gonna be great for a stylish touch or for more visibility when you're not using the main beam. So I went ahead and turned my studio lights off here just so you can get a better idea of what this back light's gonna look like in low light or dark conditions. I'm gonna zoom out just so you can see what this looks like from a distance. Now I'm gonna turn my light here a little bit to an angle so I don't blind you.

What you see now is the fog beam and you can see just the difference there between the fog beam and then the backlight. And so that fog beam is going to give you a high intensity light in an extremely wide field of view. So I'm gonna go ahead and turn this to the wall behind me here just to show you that wide field of view that this is going to offer. This light has a color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin cool white. So that cool white color is going to match most of your factory lights and it's gonna be a very crisp color of light as you can see there.

So this does have a raw lumen rating of 5,796 lumens. I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights back on here just so you can see what that looks like with the studio lights on. So you can still see just how bright that is. And the measured lumen rating is going to be 3,000 lumens. And this has a peak beam intensity of 11,900 candela.

So in case you don't know, candela ratings measure the directional light output, and it's how anything is rated where you want light shining in a specific direction. Lumen ratings are just for omnidirectional output, like your regular bulbs, where you want light shining in all directions. But for a more detailed description of those ratings, you can visit this product page on our website, or Diode Dynamics provides additional information that you can find. So the power draw on this main beam is 2.7 amps. The backlight is 0.03 amps. And this light is designed with a newer technology known as custom TIR optics. TIR stands for total internal reflection. Unlike the older technology that uses reflectors or simple projector lenses, which aren't great at focusing all the light where you want it, this custom design large TIR optic actually collects and focuses all of the light forward very efficiently. And from there, instead of having another external lens, certain lens patterns have been molded directly onto the surface of this lens. So that's going to prevent the normal efficiency loss you see with an outside lens. When you shine light through any type of glass or plastic, you probably know you're gonna lose some of that efficiency. Sometimes up to 10% of that light can be lost just shining through. So by making it a part of this lens, you're gonna pick up some efficiency there. Now this does include the industry standard integrated Deutsche style connector. This is the pigtail that comes with this light. So as you can see, it's just going to plug right into there in the back of that light. So those pigtails are included with this. And this also includes a breather patch. Both of these lights include a breather patch at the back. That's gonna prevent moisture buildup. And then these heat sinks on the back of the housing are going to do a great job of dissipating heat quickly to increase the longevity of these lights. Now these lights have been built with high intensity LED chips. They feature a durable powder coated aluminum construction, and the heavy duty construction is going to withstand those extreme temperatures, corrosion, vibration. And testing is completed to SAE standards, just like the factory lighting components on your car or vehicle. And in case you didn't know, Diode Dynamics actually designed, engineered, and assembled these lights right down the highway from us at their headquarters here in the greater St. Louis area. Now just some overall measurements. I mentioned that these are three-inch pod lights. The overall width from end to end, we're sitting at about 3 1/4 inches wide. The overall height is going to be that same measurement, 3 1/4 inches tall. And then looking at the overall depth from the front of our light all the way to the back of our heat sinks, we're sitting at about 2 3/8 inches deep. Now these lights draw high current and requires adequately sized wiring for a safe operation. So if you're not using a Diode Dynamics wiring harness, you do wanna be sure that you're using wire that's sized at 16 gauge or larger. Now, we do offer these lights in several different packages, several different intensities and quantities. For instance, you can get this pair of lights with brackets. You could get just one light itself or one light with a bracket or a different color, a different type, different intensity.
